PHOENIX, Jan. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
iBIZ Technology Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board:
IBZT
-
News), a leading
manufacturer and distributor of accessories for personal digital assistants
(PDA) and hand-held devices, was covered on Friday, January 9th, 2004 on Tech
TV & CNN.
Tech TV & CNN aired coverage of the International Consumer Electronics
Show 2004, which took place in Las Vegas from January 8th -- January 11th
2004. The iBIZ Virtual Laser Keyboard was selected and aired as one of the
"Hot Products" being showcased during CES. CNN picked up a broadcast
from Tech TV, and aired it on Friday, January 9th. CNN coverage can be seen at
the iBIZ web site;
www.ibizcorp.com .
"The comments from the hosts of
CNN during this clip are very similar to the overall response from everyone
else who has seen the Virtual Keyboard -- they can't believe it!" said
Mark Perkins, Executive Vice President of iBIZ Technology Corp. "This
device, and the technology that it brings to the industry is absolutely
phenomenal. We have had industry leaders from numerous vertical markets that
are already making plans to implement this device into their applications. We
knew the applications for the Virtual Keyboard were broad, but we never fully
realized how far-reaching until we were 'enlightened' by representatives from
the medical, dental, ATM, kiosk, gaming, and other markets when they stopped
by our booth."
Perkins further commented, "The
response at CES was absolutely incredible. We had people lined up ten deep
trying to get a glimpse at the keyboard and hoping for a chance to use
it."
"We also had press coverage from
every corner of the world. There was hardly a time when we didn't have someone
at the booth with Press credentials. If we can use CES as a gauge to determine
now successful the Virtual Keyboard will be, then this product is a 'home
run'."
The iBIZ Virtual Laser Keyboard
attaches to PDAs and projects the image of a full-size keyboard onto the
surface of the desk where the PDA is placed, making it easy to input text
without a physical keyboard.
"There are no mechanical moving
parts whatsoever in the Virtual Laser Keyboard," said Ken Schilling,
President & CEO of iBIZ Technology Corp. "It provides a projected
image that is the perfect portable input device for PDAs. It's similar in
responsiveness to regular keyboards, but extremely futuristic looking."
The Virtual Laser Keyboard is
compatible with Palm, Pocket PCs, laptops and desktop PCs. The Virtual Laser
Keyboard will be available for $99.99 from major retailers, e-commerce sites,
and iBIZ Technology's own e-commerce site in 1st quarter 2004. An upcoming
version for cell phones will be available in 4th quarter 2004.
